Call for Abstracts

The Institute of Philosophy at the University of Zurich is organizing a workshop for post-docs in the early stages of their career.

Successful applicants will receive travel support of 400 CHF to cover travel and accommodation expenses (if incurred). Slots will be 90 minutes long, divided approximately in half for talk and discussion.

In order to apply, please send an email to

stating your name, affiliation, the title of your proposed talk, three keywords (including the area of your contribution) as well as a statement to the effect that you satisfy the requirements for applicants:

without a permanent position in academic philosophy:no more than 6 years since award of PhD
with a permanent position in academic philosophy:no more than 3 years since award of PhD

Please include as separate documents (preferably pdf):

  • a long abstract of no more than 1000 words. The abstract should state thesis, main argument, and structure of the proposed talk as clearly as possible and should not include any identifying information;
  • a current CV.

Deadline for applications is March 15th 2016. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by April 14th.
