I'm a post-doctoral research assistant to Prof. Hanjo Glock at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). You can find my (currently rather uninformative) university homepage here. Previoulsy I worked as a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy at JGU Mainz, Germany and, before that, as a postdoc in the research group Phlox which still very much reflects my research interests. I'm taking up a position as an akademischer Rat at the University of Bielefeld in the fall.
I work mainly at the intersection of metaphysics and the philosophy of logic and language. There, I am especially interested in the theory of grounding and cognate notions and their applications to specific problems in theoretical philosophy. Relatedly, I like to think about the metaphysics and epistemology of what may be called theoretical entities of philosophy such as propositions and possible worlds. Recently I have developed an interest in, though no opinion on, truth relativism.
I no longer live in my favourite city in Germany: Hamburg. But the Teutoburger Wald is quite nice as well, I suppose.
I don't play golf.
But I do have a CV.
